This week Students Stopping Rape and Sigma Alpha Zeta Sorority, Inc. will be presenting the kNOw MORE campaign to end sexual and domestic violence.

On Monday…
kNOw MORE, Eat More!
An all-day fundraiser for Domestic Violence Solutions at Sam’s to Go. SSR and Sigma Alpha Zeta will be eating dinner together at 6pm and a silent march will occur at 9pm from Sam’s to Go to the Student Resource Building.

On Tuesday…
Don’t Grab My Ass! Workshop
A workshop responding to street harassment in our community at 7pm in San Nicolas Residence Hall.

On Wednesday…
No Excuse To Hurt!
A workshop on alcohol and sexual assault with STAR (Students Teaching Alcohol Responsibility) @ the SRB Multipurpose Room @ 5pm.

On Thursday…
Twilight Screening & Discussion
A film screening and discussion regarding whether Twilight exhibits signs of abusive relationships @ the MCC Theater @ 7pm.

Bandana Project Art Workshop
Thursday, October 8, 4-6 pm, Women’s Center
Art GalleryFarmworker women use their clothes, including bandanas, as protection against sexual violence in the workplace. A California survey found that 90% of farmworker women state that sexual harassment is a major problem.The Bandana Project was launched in June of 2007 as a part of a national initiative to end workplace sexual violence against farmworker women.In solidarity, farmworker community members, advocates and other individuals decorate white bandanas with words of encouragement and inspirational art.
